The FCV271 is a compact color video sounder. Steady, non-fading images are presented on a
color 10" CRT in accordance with the received echo strength.
Operation is simple and intuitive with a combination of large single-function keys and rotary
controls. You can customize operation setup for your particular application by setting parameters
on the Menu screen. The customized parameters are retained when the power is turned off.
A noise limiter (in 3 steps, operator selectable) and an audible alarm facility are provided as
standard features. The temperature alarm alerts you when water temperature goes either higher
or lower than the operator-preset value. In addition, either Fish Alarm or Bottom Alarm may be
selected.
In addition to manual range phasing, automatic phasing is provided so that the seabed is always
displayed on the lower half of the screen.
Water depth is displayed in numerics on-screen, and when fitted with the appropriate sensors,
Speed, Temperature and Nav Data may all be displayed digitally. In Nav Data Display mode, all
of this information is presented in large type on the upper 65% of the screen, while a detailed
historical change in water temperature is displayed on the lower 35% of the screen.
